About evachange
Compassionate Recovery Coaching for Your Journey
You don’t have to navigate the NDIS or your recovery alone.
At evachange, we walk alongside you – one step, one shift at a time.
Living with a psychosocial disability can feel unpredictable at times, with both highs and lows. Navigating these moments isn’t always easy, and understanding the NDIS can add another layer of complexity.
Recovery isn’t a straight line, and support should reflect that. At evachange, the focus is on working alongside you — recognising your strengths, even during more difficult times, and supporting you in a way that feels steady, respectful, and centred around you.

Meet Eve Watts
Founder & Psychosocial Recovery Coach
My passion for recovery coaching comes from a place of deep empathy and a commitment to social justice. As a learnt and lived Experience Recovery Coach, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I recognise the nuances of navigating episodic mental illness and deeply respect the insight that comes from lived experience.
I believe that the best support comes from a place of equality and mutual respect. My role is to provide a safe, trauma-informed space where you can explore your goals without judgment. Whether we are working on managing daily routines or navigating a complex NDIS plan review, my approach is always “doing with,” not “doing for.”

My Experience
A Foundation of Knowledge
My professional background is built on a diverse range of mental health settings – from the classroom to the community.
I have provided mental health coordination and psychosocial support to children, young people and their families within school-based settings, working closely alongside them to support engagement and wellbeing. This work gave me a deep understanding of the importance of early intervention and the power of a helping people build and strengthen supportive networks around them.
In addition to my work with youth, I have experience supporting adults living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments. Working with individuals navigating complex, long-term mental health challenges has reinforced my commitment to a practice grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a profound respect for each person’s unique lived experience.

This combination is rare. And it matters. To hold learnt experience is to have built real knowledge through formal education and professional practice. To hold lived experience is to understand recovery from the inside.
Why Choose Me?
We know there are many NDIS providers in Newcastle and across Australia. Here is why participants and support coordinators choose to work with evachange.
The evachange Difference
Experience Across the Lifespan
My background includes mental health coordination for children and families in school-based settings. I understand the importance of early intervention and the specific nuances of supporting young people as they navigate their recovery and educational journeys.
Supporting Complex Needs
I have strong experience supporting adults in Supported Independent Living (SIL), including those navigating ongoing mental health challenges. This work has strengthened my ability to provide steady, patient support while helping people maintain their independence through more difficult periods.
Respecting Lived Experience
I value the wisdom that comes from lived experience and the important role it plays in recovery. It shapes the way I support others — with a steady, non-judgemental, and empathetic approach.
Strategic NDIS Navigation
I don’t just coach; I advocate. I try to align recovery goals with NDIS Capacity Building budgets. I collaborate seamlessly with your broader mental health team – including GPs and Psychologists, to ensure your NDIS plan is working as hard as you are.

Benefits of Telehealth
Our Practice Philosophy
We belief that every person has the capacity to create change when provided with the right support. Everything we do at evachange is guided by four core pillars:
Choice and Control

Strengths-Based Support
We focus on what you can do, helping you build on your existing skills to overcome barriers.
Compassion & Dignity
Every interaction is grounded in respect. We provide a space where you are seen as a person, not a diagnosis.
Collaboration
We work seamlessly with your broader mental health team including GPs, psychologists, and plan managers to ensure your support is consistent and effective.
