Does the NDIS feel like just another system to get lost in?

We know that living with a psychosocial disability means navigating “peaks and troughs.” Sometimes, the very system designed to help you feels like the biggest source of stress.

Do any of these feel familiar?

A More Personal Approach

You want to feel seen as a whole person — not just a set of challenges. Support here is grounded in warmth, understanding, and genuine care.
With experience supporting people living with complex mental health, the focus is on working alongside you to build confidence, capacity, and stability in a way that feels respectful, safe, and aligned with your goals.

The Struggle of “Functional Capacity”

On your good days, you’re capable. On your bad days, even basic routines feel impossible. You need support that adapts to your episodic needs, building your resilience. So when life ‘happens’ your ready to take it on.

The Confusion of Choice & Control

You have Capacity Building funding in your plan, but no idea how to use it to actually improve your life. You feel overwhelmed by the “red tape” and worry you aren’t getting the most out of your NDIS budget.

The Fear of Judgment

You’ve had support workers before who didn’t “understand” your mental health. You need a safe, trauma-informed space where you can be your authentic self without fear of being stigmatised or misunderstood. There is no pressure to meet goals.

The “Waitlist” Fatigue

You’re ready for change now, but every provider tells you there’s a six-month wait. When you need help, you can’t afford to wait. We offer immediate intake with no waitlists.

You don’t have to do this alone. You deserve support that is compassionate, non-clinical, and grounded in real-world experience.

A Different Approach to Recovery

Recovery looks different for everyone. My approach is grounded in experience and understanding, working alongside you to build confidence, strengthen capacity, and support meaningful, sustainable change — with a focus on your strengths, not just your diagnosis.

How we support your “Ever Change”:

  • Collaborative Planning: We help you design a recovery plan that actually reflects your goals. We support you to shape a recovery plan that reflects your goals and ensures your NDIS supports are working for you.
  • Capacity Building: Practical strategies for daily routines, emotional regulation, and decision-making.
  • System Navigation: We act as your advocate, helping you interface with GPs, psychologists, and the NDIA so you can focus on getting well.
  • Focus on Independence: Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job by helping you build the confidence to lead your own life.
  • Your Supports Come to you: You have the option to meet via secure video sessions or by phone, so you can choose what feels safe and comfortable for you.

Support from someone who listens, understands and walks alongside you

In a system where assessments and reports are part of the process, genuine human connection remains at the heart of recovery. My approach is grounded in professional knowledge and real-world experience, offering support that is thoughtful, respectful, and centred around you.

Support That’s Informed, Thoughtful and Real

We don’t just understand the theory; we understand the real-life impact. We recognise the ups and downs of mental health, the exhaustion that can come with advocating for yourself, and the courage it takes to ask for support.

When you work with Eve, you’re not just getting a coach — you’re working with someone who listens deeply, respects your story, and supports you with empathy, professionalism, and care.

NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Everything you need to know before taking the first step. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Reach out directly — there’s no such thing as a silly question.

  1. What is an NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coach?

An NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coach is a specialist support designed for participants with a primary psychosocial disability. Unlike standard support coordination, a recovery coach uses lived experience or mental health expertise to help you build resilience, manage the “peaks and troughs” of your condition, and increase your functional capacity to lead a more independent life.

  2. What is the difference between a Recovery Coach and a Support Coordinator?

The main difference lies in the approach: a Support Coordinator focuses on the administration of your plan (connecting you to providers), while a Psychosocial Recovery Coach focuses on the coaching aspect of your recovery. We work “with” you to develop emotional regulation, self-advocacy skills, and a personalised recovery plan, specifically tailored to the complexities of mental health and complex trauma.

  3. Can I use my NDIS funding for Telehealth Recovery Coaching?

Yes. You can use your NDIS Capacity Building budget (specifically line item 07_101_0106_6_3) to access Telehealth coaching. Evachange provides secure, virtual sessions for Self-Managed and Plan-Managed participants across Australia, offering a safe and accessible way to receive support without the stress of travel or clinical waiting rooms.

  4. Do you have a waitlist for NDIS Psychosocial Coaching in Newcastle?

No. Evachange currently has no waitlist, and we offer immediate intake for new participants in the Newcastle area and nationwide via Telehealth. We understand that mental health support is often time-sensitive, so we prioritise a low-friction onboarding process to get your recovery journey started as soon as possible.

  5. Is Psychosocial Recovery Coaching considered clinical therapy?

No, recovery coaching is a non-clinical, strengths-based support. While we work closely with your clinical team (like GPs or Psychologists), our role is to focus on your daily living skills, social participation, and NDIS goal implementation. At evachange, we utilise trauma-informed practice and lived experience to provide a different kind of support – one focused on empowerment rather than diagnosis.
